Sam Leever was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Pittsburg Pirates topped the Brooklyn Superbas by a score of 8 to
6 at Exposition Park.

Pittsburg jumped on top of Brooklyn in the 7th inning when they came up with 3
runs on 2 hits.  Pittsburg had a total of 8 hits for the game.

Leever(13-4) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Frank Kitson(11-7)
was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 8 innings giving up 8 hits and 1
walk.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Leever, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
