TEAM RISP- Senators: 1 for 7 Americans: 1 for 9

First baseman Jake Stahl had 2 base hits as the Washington Senators outscored
the Boston-AL Americans in 12 innings 3 to 1.

Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Washington came out on
top in the 12th inning. Charlie Hickman got things going when he doubled.
After an out was recorded, Nixey Callahan came to bat and slapped a one-base
hit, and an error was also committed, resulting in a run. Jack Thoney then
hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning. Washington rapped out 9
hits for the afternoon.

The victory went to Bob Ewing(6-14) who went 11 innings, allowing 1 run. Ralph
Caldwell recorded the save, his 4th. Jesse Tannehill(6-6) took the loss in
relief.

The win by Washington is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in
recent days. Their record now stands at 34-77 - only 2-8 in their last ten
games. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Boston-AL is 1-9 lately and
52-59 on the year.
