Long Tom Hughes pitched a complete game as the Washington Nationals topped the
Boston-AL Americans by a score of 8 to 1 at Huntington Ave Grnds.

Boston-AL was unable to claim the lead after Washington went ahead in the 6th
inning plating an isolated run.  Washington banged out 8 hits on the
afternoon.  

The win went to Hughes(10-11) who allowed 1 run in the game. Rube
Waddell(11-15) was the loser.  He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 7
runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
