the New York-AL Yankees 12 to 4 at Connie Mack Stadium.

Mike Garcia(13-8) labored throughout the game but hung around to record a
victory.  He gave up 3 runs, 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
Philadelphia-AL lit up the scoreboard in the 2nd inning when they had 4 runs
