Larry Corcoran had a complete game at Polo Grounds as the Chicago White
Stockings came back dramatically to top the New York Gothams by the score of
6 to 5.

Corcoran(27-17) earned his pay with a solid performance for Chicago.  He was
reached for 8 hits and 5 walks in 9 innings.  Chicago had only 6 hits for the
game.  

Mike Dorgan(2-1) was the losing pitcher.  'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll
take the win' Corcoran said.
