Jerry McCormick had 2 base hits and Charlie Geggus whiffed 11 batters as the
Washington Nationals beat the Wilmington Quicksteps by a score of 4 to
2.

Geggus(1-2) gave Washington a solid outing.  He gave up just 6 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 3.38 to 2.52.  Washington had 9 hits
for the afternoon.  

Dan Casey(0-1) absorbed the loss.  Geggus was pleased with his performance.
He noted, 'I had good zip on my pitches.  Just as important, my location was
right on.  The fans really got into the game too - that always helps me.
Now, if I can only do that again in my next outing.'
