Harry Stovey had 3 base hits at Sportsman's Park where the spectacular
Philadelphia Athletics beat the St. Louis Browns in 11 innings by the score
of 8 to 6.

The score was knotted at 6 after nine innings.  Philadelphia ended up winning
it in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Mike Mattimore opened up
the rally as he drew a walk.  Curt Welch came next and he lined a base-hit,
and an error was also committed.  One out later, Denny Lyons then stroked a
single scoring two baserunners.  Philadelphia finished with 12 hits in the
victory.  

The win was credited to Mattimore(2-1) who went 3 innings allowing 3 runs.
Toad Ramsey(7-16) ended up with the loss in relief.
