Center fielder Tom Gettinger had 4 hits and scored 3 times and Bert Cunningham
allowed John McCloskey to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the
Louisville Colonels beat the St. Louis Browns by a score of 13 to 4.

In the 2nd inning Louisville scored 5 runs when they came up with 6 base hits.
That early scoring was all that Cunningham(10-9) needed. Louisville lit up
the scoreboard in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 6 hits and
the 4th inning when they had 4 runs on 6 hits. Louisville had 21 hits for
the afternoon.

Dewey McDougal(1-3) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around pretty
good, giving up 13 runs in 9 innings.
