WEB GEMS- Bot 9th: St. Louis turns a triple play!

Charlie Hemphill launched 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the St. Louis Browns
defeated the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 11 to 7 at Oriole
Park.

Hemphill provided much of the offense. He lofted a three-run bomb in the 3rd
inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 5th
inning. Baltimore tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

The winning pitcher was Jack Harper(9-15) who allowed 7 runs in 8 innings.
Harper got help from Willie Sudhoff who was credited with his 3rd save. Jack
Katoll(0-2) was the loser. St. Louis knocked him around a bit, as he gave up
11 runs in 9 innings.
