Ginger Beaumont had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Jesse Tannehill was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game at Baker Bowl where the
Boston-AL Americans beat the Philadelphia-NL Phillies by the score of 16 to
9.

The Philadelphia-NL fans didn't appreciate the big day Beaumont had. He
doubled scoring two baserunners in the 1st inning, banged out a single which
plated a run in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th inning and blasted a solo
shot in the 7th inning. Boston-AL bats were hot in the 1st inning with 5
runs on 5 hits and the 2nd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 4 hits.
Offensively, Boston-AL was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.

The winning pitcher was Tannehill(8-11) who allowed 9 runs for the game. Fred
Mitchell(5-14) was the loser. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 9 hits
and 2 walks.
