Howie Fox tossed a complete game shutout as the spectacular Cleveland Indians
smashed the overmatched Washington Nationals, 12 to 0.

Fox(12-6) put on a good performance.  He didn't allow much, just 6 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings.  Cleveland banged out 19 hits on the night.  

Hal Newhouser(10-12) suffered the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.  With this win, Cleveland
has a league leading 81-41 record.  They have been 6-4 lately.  Washington
has a record of 57-53 after the loss.
