Saul Rogovin allowed only 3 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the
scoreboard for Pittsburgh at Crosley Field as the Cincinnati Reds beat the
Pittsburgh Pirates by the count of 5 to 0.

Rogovin(7-4) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Pittsburgh
hitters.  He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 3 hits and no walks in 9
innings seeing his ERA drop from 4.91 to 4.44.  Cincinnati had only 4 hits
for the night.  

Herb Score(7-10) was the loser.  Despite the loss, he struckout 10 Cincinnati
batters in 7 innings.  'Our guys just weren't seeing the ball tonight.' Andy
Spector said.  'Rogovin simply dominated us.'
