Ed Dugan went the distance at Oriole Park as the Richmond Virginians pulled
off a dramatic comeback beating the Baltimore Orioles by the count of 10 to
8.

Richmond came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
scoring 3 runs on 2 hits. Ed Glenn led off and started the attack as he drew
a walk. Billy Nash followed and he reached on an error. After an out was
recorded, Jim Powell then reached on an error. Dick Johnston followed next
and he tripled scoring two baserunners. Hardie Henderson then threw one that
got by the catcher for a passed ball scoring the final run of the inning.
This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead
kept changing - 6 times in all.

Dugan(4-2) was the winner allowing 8 runs for the game. The loss was charged
to Henderson(19-15). He allowed Richmond 10 runs in 9 innings of work.

Baltimore's manager was not very talkative after his team's tough loss. 'I'm
not in the mood for questions, but I'm sure Richmond's manager will be glad
to talk about the game as long as you have questions to ask.'
