Eddie Burke had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Frank Foreman pitched a complete game as
the Cincinnati Reds outscored the Boston Beaneaters 15 to 10.

Burke led the offense for Cincinnati.  He doubled scoring a run in the 2nd
inning, laced a single which scored a run in the 5th inning, doubled scoring
two baserunners in the 7th inning and lashed a one-base hit in the 9th
inning.  Cincinnati provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning which saw
them plate 3 runs on 4 hits, the 4th inning when they had 3 runs on 4 hits,
the 5th inning which saw them score 3 runs on 3 hits and the 7th inning
tallying 3 runs.  The Cincinnati offense man-handled the Boston pitching
staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.  

The victory went to Foreman(8-10) who went the distance allowing 10 runs. Bill
Yerrick(0-2) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 18 hits and 3 walks in 8 and
1/3 innings.
