Cy Young tossed a complete game as the Cleveland Spiders really laid it on the
New York Giants 16 to 3.

Bobby Wallace had a good day at the plate.  He stroked a base-hit which
brought home a run in the 2nd inning and belted a three-run homer in the 6th
inning.  Cleveland bats were hot in the 4th inning which saw them plate 5
runs on 3 hits and the 6th inning when they had 7 runs on 3 hits.  Cleveland
had 11 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Young(22-4) who allowed 3 runs for the game. Ed
Doheny(10-8) was charged with the loss.  He had trouble throwing strikes and
issued 13 walks in 9 innings.
