Frank Kitson went the distance and second baseman Tim Flood had 4 hits and 3
RBI as the amazing Brooklyn Superbas defeated the lifeless St. Louis
Cardinals by a score of 11 to 2 at Robison Field.

Flood provided the offensive punch. He lined a one-base hit plating a run in
the 1st inning, slapped a base-hit in the 3rd inning, lashed a single
knocking in a run in the 6th inning and delivered a solo blast in the 8th
inning. The Brooklyn offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

Kitson(19-5) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Stan
Yerkes(14-16) was tagged with the loss. Brooklyn knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 11 runs in 9 innings.
