Heinie Wagner had 3 base hits and 4 RBI at Huntington Ave Grnds where the
Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Naps in 10 innings by the score of 8 to
7.

The score was knotted at 7 after nine innings.  Boston came out the victor in
the 10th inning.  Doc Gessler ripped a one-base hit.  Denny Sullivan stepped
up next and he singled.  Sullivan took second on the throw.  Wagner then
stroked a base-hit resulting in an exciting win for Boston and a wild
post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Boston had 11 hits for the
afternoon while Cleveland had 6.  

Smoky Joe Wood(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Ed Foster(0-1) took the loss in relief.
