In a two run game the Boston-AL Red Sox got by the New York-NL Giants by the
score of 5 to 3.

Max Carey enjoyed a big day at the plate. He caught a hold of a fastball for
a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th inning, doubled scoring a run in the 6th
inning and laced a base-knock in the 8th inning. New York-NL threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short.

The victory went to Bob Harmon(3-7) who went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Harmon was helped out by Ed Willett who recorded his 2nd save. Nap
Rucker(12-11) was the losing pitcher. He was the victim of a defensive lapse
and did not allow an earned run in the game.
