Lefty Tyler pitched a complete game and Les Mann collected 2 extra-base hits
and had 2 RBI as the Boston Braves outscored the slumping Cincinnati Reds 8
to 2.

Boston jumped on top of Cincinnati in the 6th inning when they came up with 3
runs on 2 hits.  Boston had 11 hits for the afternoon.  

Tyler(9-11), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Red
Ames(11-13) absorbed the loss.  Boston now has a record of 59-45.  Still in a
bad slump, with this loss, Cincinnati is 2-8 lately and 44-64 on the year.
