The Cincinnati Reds readily handled Pittsburgh Pirates by a score of 11 to 7
at Crosley Field.

In the 6th inning Cincinnati scored 7 runs with the help of 4 hits.  The
biggest moment was provided by Ted Kluszewski who excited the crowd when he
launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun.  Cincinnati
rapped out 12 hits for the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Tom Poholsky(12-5) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
3 runs. Warren Hacker gained credit for his 1st save.  Early Wynn(10-11) was
the loser.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 innings.
