TEAM RISP- Beaneaters: 4 for 17 Nationals: 4 for 10

Charlie Buffinton completed the game without help from the bullpen and
shortstop John Morrill had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Boston Beaneaters
outscored the hapless Washington Nationals 12 to 9.

Morrill was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He doubled in the 2nd inning, lined a one-base hit
which scored a run in the 3rd inning, lined a base-hit which plated a run in
the 5th inning and doubled scoring two baserunners in the 8th inning. This
was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 5 times.

Buffinton(7-6), allowing 9 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ed
Crane(0-3) took the loss. He was touched for 13 hits and 11 walks in 9
innings.
