Ad Gumbert had a complete game and Nap Lajoie had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the
Philadelphia Phillies defeated the lifeless Louisville Colonels by the score
of 15 to 6 at Baker Bowl.

The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Lajoie.  He ripped a
solo home run in the 2nd inning, lined a base-hit in the 3rd inning, doubled
which was good for two runs in the 5th inning and doubled which brought home
a run in the 6th inning.  Philadelphia kept the scorekeepers busy in the 5th
inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits and the 8th inning with 4 runs on 4
hits.  Philadelphia banged out 17 hits on the afternoon.  

Gumbert(8-8) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Art Herman(1-3) took
the loss.  He was touched for 15 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
