Vic Willis had a complete game as the Boston Beaneaters outscored the St.
Louis Cardinals 3 to 1.

Boston delivered all the runs required in the 6th inning when they tallied 3
runs on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Gene Demontreville
who disappointed the partisan crowd when he stroked a single bringing home
two baserunners. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning.

The win was credited to Willis(18-13) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
The losing pitcher was Clarence Currie(6-8). It was a tough loss for him as
he did not allow an earned run in his 9 innings of work.
