Harry Davis had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Exposition Park where the Pittsburgh
Pirates beat the league door-mat Detroit Tigers 10 to 2.

Detroit fell behind quickly as the Pittsburgh offense came through in the
first inning when they scored 3 runs on 4 hits.  That early scoring held up.
Pittsburgh out-hit Detroit for the game, 11 hits to 7.  

The victory went to Weldon Henley(5-7) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. The loss was charged to Henry Schmidt(7-17).  His biggest problem was
control as he allowed 5 walks in 2 innings.
