Nap Rucker hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Boston-AL Americans were badly
beaten by the New York-NL Giants, 17 to 6.

Boston-AL never recovered after New York-NL took the lead in the bottom of the
2nd inning when they tallied 4 runs on 2 hits.  The biggest moment was
provided by Rucker who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he doubled
bringing home two baserunners.  New York-NL kept the scorekeepers busy in the
2nd inning with 4 runs, the 4th inning which saw them score 8 runs on 7 hits
and the 8th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits.  New York-NL
finished with 21 hits while Boston-AL ended up with 13.  

The win went to Rucker(12-8) who allowed 5 runs in 8 innings. The losing
pitcher was George Mullin(7-10).  He got hit hard, allowing 11 hits and 2
walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
