George Wright had 2 base hits as the streaking Boston ballclub defeated the
St. Louis B Brown Stockings by a score of 7 to 5 at Grand Avenue
Park.

Boston scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 8th inning plating 2 runs.
After two were out Jim O'Rourke got things rolling when he drew a walk.  Cal
McVey came to the plate and tripled knocking in a run.  George Bradley then
unleashed a wild pitch scoring the final run of the inning.  Boston rapped
out 9 hits for the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Al Spalding(43-9) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing
no runs. Bradley(22-16) ended up with the loss.  He gave up 9 hits and 1 walk
in 9 innings.
