In a game for the baseball purist, Vic Raschi(9-5) and Bobby Shantz(3-3)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Chicago-NL Cubs finally emerged
victorious over struggling Brooklyn Dodgers, 3 to 1.

Raschi pitched well for Chicago-NL in their victory.  He allowed 3 hits and 5
walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.  Chicago-NL had only 6 hits for the afternoon.
