finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the
Philadelphia Athletics defeated the New York Metropolitans by the score of 8
to 5 at Jefferson St Grounds.
It was a good day for Philadelphia thanks to Larkin. He cleared the fences
for a two-run home run in the 3rd inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'
