Nig Cuppy went the distance and first baseman Osee Schrecongost hit a homerun
and had 2 RBI at Robison Field as the St. Louis Perfectos beat the Chicago
Orphans in 12 innings by the count of 5 to 4.

Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings.  St. Louis was
victorious in the 12th inning.  Jesse Burkett laced a single.  After an out
was recorded, Schrecongost stepped up to the plate and he ripped a single.
One out later, Schrecongost took second on a stolen base.  Patsy Tebeau
followed and he doubled making St. Louis victorious to the delight of the the
home town crowd.  St. Louis banged out 16 hits on the afternoon.

Cuppy(9-4) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 4 runs. Bill
Phyle(8-3) suffered the loss in relief.  He gave up 1 run and 5 hits in 1 and
2/3 innings.
