Earl Moore completed the game without help from the bullpen at League Park as
the Philadelphia Athletics lost a heartbreaker to Cleveland Naps by the score
of 7 to 6.

Cleveland scored the deciding run in the 9th inning.  After two were out Harry
Bay doubled.  Bill Bradley followed and he ripped a one-base hit giving
Cleveland the win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  Cleveland
finished with 10 hits in the victory.  

Moore(15-10) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 6 runs. The loss
was charged to Chief Bender(14-12).  He surrendered 10 hits and 3 walks in 8
and 2/3 innings.  

'He gutted it out' Bill Armour said of Moore.  'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'
