Henry Boyle tossed a complete game at Recreation Park where the Indianapolis
Hoosiers beat the Pittsburgh Alleghenys by the score of 5 to 4.

Indianapolis won the game with a rally in the top of the 8th inning plating 3
runs utilizing 3 base hits.  Boyle led off and started the attack as he
banged out a single.  Boyle was safe on a stolen base.  After an out was
recorded, Charley Bassett then slapped a one-base hit scoring a run.
Indianapolis continued their aggressive style with another stolen base.
Emmett Seery stepped into the box and bombed a two-run dinger.  Indianapolis
rapped out 7 hits for the afternoon.  

Boyle(15-13) allowed 4 runs on the game. The losing pitcher was Pud
Galvin(14-18).  He surrendered just 7 hits and no walks in 9 innings.
