John Sowders went the distance and center fielder Ed Andrews hit 2 doubles as
the Brooklyn Ward's Wonders defeated the Pittsburg Burghers by the score of
10 to 2 at Eastern Park.

Brooklyn promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring a single
run.  Brooklyn finished with 10 hits in the victory.  

The winning pitcher was Sowders(19-8) who allowed 2 runs for the game. John
Tener(0-9) suffered the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering 10 runs in
8 innings.
