WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Tommy McMillan robbed Jake Daubert of a base hit.

Cy Barger was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Brooklyn Superbas defeated the Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings 5 to
3 at Palace Of The Fans.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Finally, Brooklyn
pulled the game out in the 10th inning. Bill Davidson opened up the inning
nicely when he tripled. Jake Daubert stepped into the batter's box and he
reached on an error which brought home a run. Daubert swiped second base.
Brooklyn continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. Zack
Wheat got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. John Hummel extended
the rally and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning. Both
teams ended up with 9 hits on the afternoon.

Barger(8-15) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. The losing
pitcher was Fred Beebe(7-10). He pitched 10 innings giving up 9 hits and 2
walks.
