Duffy Lewis had 3 base hits at Redland Field as the Boston-AL Red Sox beat the
Cincinnati Reds 7 to 6.

Boston-AL brought 3 runs across the plate in the 3rd inning when they had 3
base hits.  Lewis opened up the inning nicely when he smacked a single.
Shoeless Joe Jackson next to the plate and he tripled knocking in a run.  Lee
Magee then hit a sacrifice fly plating another run.  Doc Crandall was up next
and he drew a walk.  Rabbit Maranville stepped into the box and was hit by a
pitch.  One out later, Possum Whitted came to bat and lashed a single scoring
the final run of the inning.  Cincinnati was out-hit by Boston-AL, 16 hits to
12.  

Walt Dickson(6-3) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 6 runs for the victory.
Dickson was helped out by Charley Hall who recorded his 1st save.  Babe
Adams(15-11) was the loser.
