Catcher Pop Snyder had 3 base hits and 3 RBI and Jack Manning was able to
finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Baltimore
Canaries topped the Chicago White Stockings by a score of 18 to 11 at 23rd
Street Grounds.

Manning(3-0) pitched well for Baltimore in their victory. He was reached for
12 hits and no walks in 9 innings.  Baltimore lit up the scoreboard in the
1st inning with 5 runs on 4 hits and the 8th inning which saw them score 6
runs on 4 hits.  Baltimore banged out 17 hits on the afternoon.  

George Zettlein(16-17) absorbed the loss.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 18 runs in 9 innings.
