Fred Goldsmith had a complete game and second baseman Tom Burns had 4 hits and
3 RBI as the Chicago White Stockings really laid it on the ice-cold Worcester
Ruby Legs 13 to 2.

Burns had a big day against Worcester.  He doubled in the 2nd inning, doubled
bringing in a run in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th inning and stroked a
base-hit scoring a run in the 8th inning.  Chicago bats were hot in the 6th
inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits.  The Chicago offense was great,
scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.  

Goldsmith(22-11) allowed 2 runs on the game. Lee Richmond(2-29) took the loss.
He was unable to control the Chicago offense and allowed 20 hits and 3 walks
in 9 innings.
