TEAM RISP- Senators: 1 for 15 Browns: 2 for 14

Gus Weyhing was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and left fielder Jake Gettman had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the
Washington Senators defeated the St. Louis Browns in 13 innings by a score of
6 to 5 at Robison Field.

Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Washington was
victorious in the 13th inning. Gettman lined a one-base hit. Deacon McGuire
then called for a steal which was successful. McGuire then reached on an
error scoring the run. Washington had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Weyhing(11-17) finished the game allowing 5 runs in the victory. Kid
Carsey(2-5) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was a hard-luck loser,
pitching 2 innings and not allowing an earned run.

'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' McGuire said after the game. 'Weyhing did not have command of
his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to
pitch!'
