The Washington Nationals won by a final score of 4 to 0. Gray was just too much for Chicago. He gave his hometown fans a game they'll never forget! He surrendered no walks and could have tossed a perfect game if it were not for the fielding error. The tension was mounting with every inning after the 6th. Gray appeared oblivious himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then, did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Washington had only 6 hits for the afternoon. Fred Olmstead(5-11) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 6 hits in 8 innings. 'Gray made us look bad' Chicago's manager said. 'I've seen a lot of good performances in my time and this one will be tucked away in my memory bank for a long time to come' SCORESHEET: 1910 Chicago White Sox at 1910 Washington Nationals H.Lord-A1 A1:K *4*:E/6 *7*:L/4 R.Zeider-A1 A2:L/5 B2:CS/24> C2:F/7 1o G/63 P.Meloan-A1 A3:F/8 B3:K C3:K P.Doughe-A1 *2*:K *5*:F/8 *8*:G/31 L.Tanneh-A1 A5:P/5 B5:G/53 C5:K S.Collin-A1 A6:P/4 B6:G/43 C6:F/7 F.Parent-A1 *3*:F/7 *6*:F/8 *9*:G/3 B.Block-A1 A8:F/8 B8:G/43 C8:F/8 F.Olmste-A1 A9:P/6 B9:G/43 C9:G/53 A.McConn-C9 C.Milan-A1 A1:G/63 B1:G/63 *6*:G/63 D1:F/8 G.Schaef-A1 A2:W>b1 B2:P/6 C2:W>b1 D2:P/5 W.Conroy-A1 A3:G-DP/6 *4*:P/6 C3:SB>12 *8*:P/6 43>1o CS/25>2o Si D.Gessle-A1 *2*:G/63 B4:G/43 C4:Si>12 D4:FO/2 G.McBrid-A1 A5:W>b1 B5:Do C5:Si>2# D5:K 13 K.Elberf-A1 A6:G/53>1 B6:G/53 C6:PB>3# 2 12 W>b1 B.Unglau-A1 A7:Si>2# *5*:P/5 C7:Si>2# 13 E.Ainsmi-A1 A8:P/4 B8:F/8 C8:G/53 D.Gray-A1 *3*:P/2 B9:F/9 *7*:K
