TEAM RISP- Dodgers: 8 for 23 Browns: 3 for 12

Buck Herzog had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Christy Mathewson was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game as the Brooklyn Dodgers
clobbered the outmatched St. Louis-AL Browns, 12 to 2.

Herzog was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He lined a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, tripled which brought home a run in the 3rd inning, stroked a single
bringing in a run in the 6th inning and tripled plating two runs in the 8th
inning. Brooklyn had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6
separate innings.

Mathewson(14-8) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Ray
Caldwell(8-4) was given the loss. He gave up 7 runs in 5 innings and saw his
ERA jump from 3.26 to 3.63.
