In a good matchup it was the Indianapolis Hoosiers 6, the Brooklyn team 3 at
Greenlawn Park.

Indianapolis wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits.  Al Scheer led off the inning for Indianapolis when he
drew a walk.  Bill McKechnie followed and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Benny Kauff then ripped a base-hit.  Kauff then stole second base.  Frank
Laporte stepped into the box and hit a deep fly resulting in a run.  Charlie
Carr added to the rally and slapped a single scoring the final run of the
inning.  Both teams totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.  

George Kaiserling(15-6) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.
Charlie Whitehouse recorded the save, his 5th.  Dan Marion(2-6) took the
loss.  He gave up 9 hits and 6 walks in 8 innings.
