Jack Nabors came through with a solid 8 innings and Nap Lajoie smacked 2
triples as the Philadelphia Athletics bested the St. Louis Browns 9 to 2 at
Sportsman's Park.

Philadelphia tallied 5 runs in the top of the 2nd inning when they came up
with 6 base hits.  That was all Nabors(1-1) needed.  Philadelphia banged out
17 hits on the afternoon.  

Carl East(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 8 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.
