Floyd Baker had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Larry Jansen had a strong outing as the
Chicago-NL Cubs outscored the Cincinnati Reds 6 to 1.

Chicago-NL came up with 4 runs in the 2nd inning when they came up with 5 base
hits.  That early run support was all that Jansen(7-11) required.  Chicago-NL
banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.  

Russ Meyer(3-6) was the loser.  'All of my pitches were working today,' Jansen
said.  'I felt really good out there, and heck, I think I could have gone
longer.'
