Ed Morris pitched a complete game at South End Grounds as the Pittsburgh
Alleghenys beat the Boston Beaneaters 18 to 12.

Pittsburgh took the lead for keeps in the 7th inning scoring one runner.
Pittsburgh bats were very productive in the 1st inning which saw them plate 4
runs on 5 hits and the 6th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits.  The
Pittsburgh offense poured it on, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.

Morris(5-14) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 12 runs. Old Hoss
Radbourn(14-22) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 20 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings.
