over the Louisville Colonels by a score of 14 to 13 at South End
Grounds.

The game was decided in the 9th inning. Fred Tenney reached on an error.
After an out was recorded, Bob Allen came up and he drew a walk. Chick
Fraser then threw one that got by the catcher for a passed ball. Stahl
followed and he doubled giving Boston the win as 7,294 happy fans joyfully
celebrated. Boston provided plenty of action in the 2nd inning when they had
4 runs on 3 hits. The Boston offense poured it on, scoring in 7 of the 9
innings.

Fred Klobedanz(15-12) was the winner allowing 13 runs for the game.
Fraser(5-20) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 21 hits
and 4 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings.

'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Klobedanz, 'I got burned
on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
