At Sportsman'S Park the Philadelphia-AL Athletics outscored the St. Louis-AL
Browns 10 to 7.

Philadelphia-AL tallied 3 runs in the 2nd inning.  The highlight belonged to
Tris Speaker who silenced the crowd when he tripled bringing in two
baserunners.  Philadelphia-AL had many opportunities throughout the game and
scored in 6 separate innings.  

The victory went to Barney Pelty(6-4) who went 6 innings, allowing 7 runs.
Pelty got help from Buck O'Brien who earned his 20th save.  Ed Reulbach(5-9)
was charged with the loss.  He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs in
4 innings.
