Second baseman Claude Ritchey had 5 hits as the Boston-AL Americans defeated
the Cincinnati Reds 8 to 5 at Palace Of The Fans.

Boston-AL won the game with a rally in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs using 3
hits.  After an out was recorded, Ritchey got things going when he lined a
single.  Wid Conroy came next and he lashed a single, and an error was also
committed.  Tom Jones then ripped a base-hit which was good for two runs.
Jones took second on the throw.  It was roller coaster of a game as the lead
change hands 5 times.  

Joe McGinnity(12-15) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 7 innings. McGinnity
got help from Chief Bender who was credited with his 11th save.  The losing
pitcher was Harry McIntire(6-10).  He allowed 9 hits and 1 walk in 7 and 1/3
innings.
