Left fielder Shad Barry had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Chicago-NL Cubs defeated
the Washington Nationals by a score of 12 to 3 at West Side Park.

Barry made sure the Chicago-NL fans enjoyed themselves.  He laced a base-hit
in the 1st inning, ripped a single plating two runs in the 2nd inning, ripped
a one-base hit in the 4th inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 8th
inning.  Washington was out-hit by Chicago-NL, 13 hits to 10.  

Jack Chesbro(13-8) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Bob Ewing(10-11)
was charged with the loss.  He allowed Chicago-NL 6 runs in 2 innings of
work.
