History was made in St. Louis as Boardwalk Brown(15-8) tossed a no-hitter and
the Philadelphia Athletics defeated the St. Louis Browns by the score of 7 to
0.

Brown had overwhelming stuff this afternoon. He simply never gave the St.
Louis batters a decent pitch to drive. He walked 3 St. Louis batters. The
tension built to a fever pitch. After the 8th inning everybody in the
ballpark was anticipating what would happen in the 9th. Philadelphia managed
9 hits in their victory.

Roy Mitchell(8-15) suffered the loss. 'Brown pitched one heck of a game!'
Connie Mack said. 'He didn't get away with any bad pitches because he just
didn't throw any bad pitches. What a performance!'
