Carl Lundgren went 11 solid innings as the phenomenal Chicago Cubs beat the
Brooklyn Superbas in 12 innings by a score of 3 to 2.

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings.  Chicago was victorious
in the 12th inning.  After an out was recorded, Joe Tinker lined a single.
Tinker was running on the next pitch and he stole second.  One out later,
Johnny Kling was walked intentionally.  Frank Chance came up and he ripped a
base-knock scoring the run.  Chicago had 7 hits for the afternoon.

Lundgren(12-5) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 11 innings. Lundgren
got help from Mordecai Brown who earned his 1st save.  Nap Rucker(8-14) was
the loser.  He gave up 7 hits and 4 walks in 12 innings.
