Nap Lajoie had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Art Fromme threw a 3 hitter at
Sportsmans Park as the streaking Philadelphia-NL Phillies beat the St.
Louis-AL Browns by the count of 3 to 1.

Philadelphia-NL scored all of the necessary runs in the 5th inning as they
scored 3 runs on 1 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Lajoie
who silenced Sportsmans Park as he doubled bringing in two baserunners.
Philadelphia-NL had 10 hits for the afternoon.

Fromme(17-5) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Ed
Reulbach(8-11) was given the loss. Philadelphia-NL won for the 8th straight
time. Mark McGonigle was in a talkative mood after the ballgame. 'Fellows, I
don't know what to tell you. our guys are just playing lights out lately.
Everything and everybody is just really hitting on all cylinders. I know it
can't last forever - but that isn't going to stop us from trying!'
